Whether you consider yourself to be a jokester or find that you're always on the butt end of the jokes, be prepared to get in a good laugh because April Fools' Day is on its way. We can't deny that we love pulling a good prank just as much as the guy next door, but this year the only fast one we'll be pulling is on our taste buds. These reinvented cocktail classics feature a surprising twist in the form of our favorite mixer and are sure to trick your taste buds with just one sip.

Ginger Melon Sangria via Love & Olive Oil


1 bottle White Moscato

8 oz. Barritt's Ginger Beer 

1/4 c. Fresh squeezed lime juice

1/4 c. Midori Melon Liqueur

1/2 Small watermelon, balled

1 Cantaloupe, balled

1 Honeydew, balled

1 Lime, sliced

Club soda


Combine wine, Barritt's Ginger Beer, lime juice and Midori Melon Liqueur in a large pitcher. Add melon balls and let sit overnight. Pour into glasses, top with a splash of club soda and garnish with a lime slice.


Moscow Mule Mimosa via The Cookie Rookie


Tropicana Orange Juice

12 oz. Barritt's Ginger Beer 


Lime slices

Orange slices 


Fill champagne glass one third of the way with orange juice. Top with another third of Barritt's Ginger Beer and finish off with champagne. Garnish with lime and orange slices.

Ginger Beer Mojito via Gimme Some Oven


4 oz. Barritt's Ginger Beer 

1 1/2 oz. Bacardi Light Rum

2 oz. Fresh lime juice

10 Mint leaves

Lime wedges

Mint sprigs


Muddle the mint and lime juice together in a glass. Add in ice and top with Bacardi Light Rum and Barritt's Ginger Beer. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and a lime wedge.
